With her roots firmly in Thomson, she graduated from Thomson in 1995 and then earned degrees in psychology and forensic psychology from the University of Phoenix and Argosy University in Atlanta, respectively. This strong educational background provides her with a practical skill set to address complex city issues with intellectual rigor and compassionate insight.

Her proven track record, demonstrated through consistent attendance at city council and county commissioners meetings as a concerned citizen, is matched by her active community service, including hands-on work with Angel Ministries and supporting homeless ministries in Augusta through the Red Cross.
